Code: Select all

 [part]
  background-portraits/humans/transparent/general.png
  story= _"After defeating the Bandit leader, Lt. Hyldar rallied his men and they headed for the nearest village, which was 4 days march to the south. As soon as they drew near, they saw smoke rising from the village, and knew something was wrong."
 [part]
Firstly, replace that hyphen after "background" with a '=', otherwise there won't be an image.
Secondly, you forgot the '/' when closing the [part].
Thirdly:

Code: Select all

next_Scenario=3_Search_And_Destroy
It's "next_scenario" (WML is case-sensitive).

Thanks, I'll take a look at it.

I don't use Notepad++ but if I want to create new scenario(unit, era,...) I use UMC Plugin and if I want to change some details(unit type, gold,...) I use PSPad. (In truth I don't know what is Notepad++ :D .)

That limits what you can do. Sure, it's easier than WML, but WML gives you so much more control.

Using the UMC Plugin doesn't let you make content as detailed as WML.

Wait... what?
The UMC Development IDE is only an IDE for writing WML... you seem to have misunderstood something.

I know what it is, but it uses wizards for making scenarios etc., and making your own WML lets you have more control. Try to make UTBS or IFTU in the UMC Development IDE.

I don't think it limits something. It is usefull because it finds mistakes in your WML. I'm happy with it and for beginners it is better because beginners don't create IFTU or UTBS. For advanced people is better the Notepad++ or PSPad but it is always good to have UMC in computer, simply for you can open here your file and check if is it all right.
