Secure the North - Campaign Development

Post by Vladcara »

 I HAVE RETURNED!

And it's good to be back! I'm kicking off with a new campaign (one which I intend to actually FINISH this time). It's slightly unusual, in that recruitment of units is downplayed - you start with a large army, and receive regular story-oriented reinforcements, but the opportunities to recruit are few, and those tend to involve low-level units. Your initial army is composed of loyalists, led by Kadrin, although I intend to add units from other factions later on.

I've finished the first scenario, and playtested up to turn 10, which is the last bit of semi-tricky WML. Beyond that point, it SHOULD work fine.

Please post comments and report any bugs/errors/spelling mistakes etc. below. You can get the campaign from the add-ons server on both v 1.8 and 1.9 (or you will very soon anyway). Alternatively, download it below (you're going to need WinRAR to do so, however).

Thanks in advance,
Vladcara

EDIT: Just to say that the campaign has now been uploaded to both servers

Its funny. Your campaign shares the same name as an MP campaign by Anakonda. (on the 1.9 server)

Heh - tell me about it. I saw that, and thought I'd changed it. Better go take another look!

EDIT: Ok, fixed now!

OK, apologies for the double post, but the next scenario has been completed, and uploaded to both servers (or you can download it below). Please (please, please, pretty please) post comments below, especially suggestions for improvement/balancing of both scenarios.

Thanks,
Vladcara.

(as a side note, to whichever genius drew the art for the wyverns, I hope its alright with you to include them here. If not, just say so and I'll replace them with some other gribbly)

I get an unknown scenario error saying string name "fangs" is missing from wyvern.cfg
Basically it means you don't have a "mainline_strings.cfg" file in your add-on.
