I tried reproducing the crash in 1.9 without success.
Could reproduce in 1.8 but since it doesn't crash in 1.9 it's too expensive to fix it...
I could make it work in 1.8 by modifying all ai sides by removing the [ai] configuration blocks and inserting controller=ai into all of them (the controller= is the important one probably).

Okay, Let's see if I understood it: You've ran it putting [controller=ai] instead of [ai]? Okay In that case Are you meaning wesnoth 1.8? As i told you my main problem is that I can't fix it in my computer because in ubuntu it works from the begining to the end. Another thing, I've got a strange version: 1.8.0 (the one in the library) instead of 1.8.5 Can it be the problem? After complete the bug I'll do another version with some improves I'm working on now.

Try putting the [side]controller=ai key into all sides which are supposed to be ai.

yes
Interesting as I thought side.controller defaulted to ai? SideWML

Upsssss  I played this scenario killing the goblin leader and I didn't see that the other objetives are wrong. I'll change it now and I'll upload the new version. Thanks for your report!

well, thanks, but...
another two hours for playing through didn't give a much better result: the "we made it" text now appears, but the scenario remains lost.

maybe we should all go hunting goblins...

hm. and even killing the goblin doesn't help too much: next scenario can't be loaded because of an "illegal character in map: Gs^Ima".

Didn't You say, you've played it on ubuntu / 1.80 yourself? Strange...

Two things (and im not calling you a liar):
First of all, in the youngest version of the campaign killing the leader gave you the victory. (the globlin leader I mean)
Second, I haven't got any error with ilegals characters in scenario 5, in fact I can post scenario 6 save for you continue playing the campaign if you want untill I correct this error

Yours faithfully Perseo,

too kind.

never doubted that killing the goblin gives you victory, just did so to go on playing after the regular winning condition still didn't do (as posted yesterday). just to find that scenario 5 doesn't start 'cause of the map error.
if you played this version on the same os and game version (still?) as me _without_ that error that WOULD be strange, wouldn't it.

anyway, thanks for your offer but - sorry to say - just don't feel like giving it another try right now.

best regards

I've revised the whole map file but I haven't found the character Gs^Ima yet. I have opened the file and I've searched Gs^, Gs^Ima, Ima... but nothing appears. Can anyone help me?

maybe me.
first: call me the fool.
its not the next scenario that doesn't load, it's "07 la noche...". And in the map "07 el cemeterio..." you'll find the Gs^Ima character.

just hastened through the pass after i had finally killed the goblin - no idea why i left that out, and even didn't realize the next day - guess i was a little unnerved.

very sorry for that.

still it's weird i got an error from that while it works with 1.80 otherwise.

It's perfectly normal, no problem I was a pretty unkind the last time I answered you. Yes, That's because I have this terrain from other camapign and I forget changing it. No problem. Thanks for the report. Tomorrow will be fixed.

Version 0.9.6 Released! Thank you very much all of you. I've played it deleting all the other add-ons from the computer for not having more errors like the one in 7 scenario and I retuned a bit the last scenarios I hope you'll enjoy it!
