Re: Legend of the Invincibles
the enemy is so strong only the heros can survive (the part u dont have ur good recall units)
and there is no "big cave" level with infinite turns so its almost impossible to train units
and my undead vs so lvl 4 mages isnt any good
i never can train any good units in (part 4 it is think) no mages at all
and in part 5 there are only (ghost and skeletons) still no mages
part 5 without my old units (the stormrider killed akula solo last time)
is impossible i think
and some units are way to strong
the general perserved lich leadership upgrade adds way to much damage
i got it up to 300 (more cant be delt i think)
the destroyer unit + book of fencing adds many damage
some units are useless weak
the upgrade adds only one damage wow
the skeleton dragon is very very strong (book of fencing)
if the skeleton dragon cant carry any items or read books it would be better
some units should make lots more damage
level 4 swordsman
level 4 impaler guy
(no range attack and usless melee wow)
the later soul eater upgrades cant be done
its too late too much exp needed
soul eater upgrades must upgraded the atts u already have
(copy the damage of wave of fear into fireball) eg
now im in "power station"
but until the lag isnt gone i cant play anymore sry
and i wont play part 6 without my units + heroes :>

i just got to the "entrance level"No need to do that if you're in Akula's place. You cannot continue to chapter 6 anyway.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Chapter 4 was supposed to be much about leaders, and the undead had to be just some cannon fodder with no real importance. If you had units from chapter 3 it would be too easy, but I might add a cave level with infinite turns.the enemy is so strong only the heros can survive (the part u dont have ur good recall units)
About the lack of magi... I might add some Dark Adepts and Dark Sorcerers to later chapter 4, would that be okay (when the normal magi are your arch-enemy)?
Huh, so much? Seems I will have to nerf that.i got it up to 300 (more cant be delt i think)
That takes a lot of exp and all books are very rare.the destroyer unit + book of fencing adds many damage
Adding something better to them is on my to do list, but I have to decide what to add first.the upgrade adds only one damage wow
Okay, the amount of kills required will be lowered.the later soul eater upgrades cant be done
The reason why you will lose units in chapter 6 is that the units you have would become too strong, and making challenging enemies is problematic, because advancing a weak unit is quite impossible then.
Try to update in a month or so, and tell me if it is gone, okay?
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
i still got 4 times "the fencers study"That takes a lot of exp and all books are very rare.
(adds 5% lower hit 1 extra att
every time)
destroyer unit has 35*6 damg now (fleshrending mace)
and only 336 exp to next level
(i learnd him fireball aswell but only 1 time)
dwarish hero is more stronger
48 base dmg and 70% hit (fleshrending mace too)
the dragon rider guy made 70dmg (only 1 upgrade, but items woho)
to a 50% res unit
backstab + charge xD
stronger upgrades but weaker items i suggest
Edit. i started part 6
there isnt lag yet

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Seems I will have to revise the items again. I recently nerfed armours, weapons will need it too, it seems.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I do agree that more balancing effort will be needed, which i guess might prove quite challenging considering quantity of factors introduced.
Theres one more bug/feature that bothers me - enemies killed with whirlwind/explosive damage does not count towards souleater count or add xp, which makes me try to avoid using these abilities. Could that be fixed? This also might be a reason why some people get more upgrades than others..

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I'm looking for more campaigns with an amla/rpg style similar to "Legned of the Invincibles", whose gameplay has been my favourite so far. Any suggestions? Also, are there any other forums where you think posting this query might help?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I had the same question a couple of days ago - the fact that whirlwind, cleave, cone, explosion, etc. do not contribute to souleater or your xp is deliberate. It was removed (I was told), as allowing them to contribute, lead to severely overpowered characters and consequent balancing troubles.Theres one more bug/feature that bothers me - enemies killed with whirlwind/explosive damage does not count towards souleater count or add xp, which makes me try to avoid using these abilities. Re: Legend of the Invincibles
I think that the best thing would be if whirlwind kills count only for souleater as it is very hard to level anyways... i also never used whirlwind because of that
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Making it work with soul eater might be done, I suppose it won't cause too many balancing issues.I think that the best thing would be if whirlwind kills count only for souleater as it is very hard to level anyways... i also never used whirlwind because of that
And about suggestions for similar add-ons, you might want to ask elsewhere, maybe in Users' Forum.
Update: 5 scenarios of chapter 8 written, performance problems solved (auto-saving without delays,...), but many things are very buggy now. You may download it from the place I described before.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
chapter 5? you mean 8 right?
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Yeah, chapter 8. Chapter 5 is already written. Corrected.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
thats the point.. you get xp anyway, without using these attacks then, its just more work. i hate wasting that walking xp sourcealex23 wrote:I think that the best thing would be if whirlwind kills count only for souleater as it is very hard to level anyways... i also never used whirlwind because of that
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
Is there an actual download for this cause I can't seem to find it...
Re: Legend of the Invincibles
@nagi21 It's on servers for 1.11, 1.10 and 1.8 (older version). Download it from here if you really cannot find it.
@Iry If whirlwind was giving experience, units with it would advance too much (and would also heal too much from the exp). If you don't want to waste experience you use it only if it will kill the primary target and weaken other enemies. With the soul eater exp-like count, I might change it. Do you want that?
Update: 9 scenarios of chapter 8 written, I also implemented a few interesting new features.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles
yeah, i see the problem with exp (or i guess whirlwind type attacks are overpowered in general and giving no exp for it is a balancing trick)@Iry If whirlwind was giving experience, units with it would advance too much (and would also heal too much from the exp). including whirlwind kills in souleater count - maybe, if that doesn't throw balance off too much. i'd probably vote for toning down AOE attacks in general.
