I guess the error is from your scenario 7, not scenario 8.
Try running the campaign without your scenario 7. If the error is gone, it is obvious.
Error messages unfortunately do not always point what we want to fix although there is usually something wrong on the part that the error messages point.

Not to forget removing "!!LINE 42!!" on your scenario 8 before running it.

Thanks! Taking away the scenario sheded some light on the error, And I was able to fix it! There should be a new version on the server soon :)

Whoa! Scenario 9 took A LOT longer than I thought it would. :o Anyway, I've updated the campaign on the add-ons server :D

Here's a list of changes made...
  • Tons of dialog improvments
  • Scenario 7, "Honor" has been added
  • Scenario 8, "The Black Knight" has been added
  • Scenario 9, "Power Of Death" has been added
  • Scenario 5 & 6, Have gotten improved
  • Deaths are done the real way now.
  • And a bunch of other things :)

Updated version is on the add-ons server! It includes 1 more scenario (Which should already be familier to everyone ;)) and a couple other small improvements!

Well, The cmpaign is done now. (Scenario wise) the story is complete and... That's it! It's finished :D (Unless there are bugs that I haven't found)

Could I please get some feedback now :eng:
Or should I post a thread for this campaign in the "Add-on feedback" thread?

hi!

i'm playing the 9th scenario of the campaign, power of death, but i found a bug.

i moved sir kaylan to the sign post at the bottom of the screen but nothing happen, the scenario doesn't end...

could it be fixed somehow?

Noted of, looked into, and fixed.

(I also made the soldiers retreat like they're suppose to)

First off, this is a great campaign, great job.

However, in the final scenario, I accidently got delfador killed but it resulted in a victory not a defeat. Just a bug you should be aware of.

Nice job though.

Glad you like it. The error has been fixed in the 1.4 release. So don't get Delfador killed anymore ;)

A typo in scenario 5 causes the game to exit.
In Line 381:
#ifdef HARD
recruit=Orcish Grunt,Orcish Cossbowman,Wolf Rider

Should be:

#ifdef HARD
recruit=Orcish Grunt,Orcish Crossbowman,Wolf Rider

Update:

I just finished the whole champaign. I like the story and would like to see whether it will be added to the mainline in the future. But there are some bugs need to be fixed at the moment.
One problem is that in the scenario "Battle for Halstead", General Dommel is taking any possible chance to jump into the water hex at (36,16) to get killed. So it is probably necessary to set him to be passive.
Another probelm is about the AI. For example, in the scenario "Battle for Halstead", the troll leader is unwilling to recruit any units for several turns. Also I have seen an orcish crossbowman using a melee atack against a swordsman. So the AI's behavior should be tuned.
In "HARD" level, the money for the player should be reduced somewhat in the final scenario. The scenario is designed in the way that by turn 16, the player should be overwhelmed by Asheviere's reinforcement. However, in the actual play, I was winning at that point. So either reducing the start money for the player, or giving the enermy more income is a better way to fit the battle into the story line.
