Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.x)
Well, it's just about 20 years of future, won't hurt the Thunderstone Triology whatsoever. AndAre you actually qualified to make these drastic changes to the storyline of IftU? There is already an official "Future History" of Wesnoth, and Shadowmaster has some more major plans to develop the storyline in AtS. If you see this and are only presenting this as an alternate history, that's fine. I just think it is kind of rude to make a campaign off of someone elses work while they are in the makings of another.
Spoiler:
Yeah, I'm going to explain that too.Ceresians. Who in the world are they? They need some sort of introduction. Also, the New Elensefar deal. I've never heard of these in any of the accepted campaign storylines, so you need to project these as a new people group.
The Union. At the end of IftU,Plus, what is the deal with the marriage of the "Lady of Light" and the "Lady of Darkness"? This bi-gender marriage (and graphic portrait I might add) adds an unprecedented drastic change in Wesnoth that I think needs to be removed.Spoiler:

Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.x)
What about After the Storm and the campaign sequels? He has plans for Mal Hekuba. If you are going to alter the storyline once he writes it, that's fine. Your campaign just doesn't tie in at all with anything that is already made, which is what bothers me. I like campaigns to fit into the overall frame in some way. Yours kind of messes it up.LightFighter wrote:Well, it's just about 20 years of future, won't hurt the Thunderstone Triology whatsoever
Your last spoiler makes no sense, can you explain it please?
No offense by all of this, I think you have a nice campaign going so far, the storyline just needs to be altered to fit the Wesnoth frame and to not interfere with shadowmaster's plans (he was here first if you know what I mean). Good luck with your campaign
Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.x)
Well, actually I must thank you. I now know what to do to fix all this, and I have the first three pieces of story ready. And in scenario 10bigkahuna wrote:What about After the Storm and the campaign sequels? He has plans for Mal Hekuba. If you are going to alter the storyline once he writes it, that's fine. Wow. Well that's surprising. I still have that one gimmick though:
Just my two cents there. I think your should junk that idea and stick with the original
Still wondering about the random oracle deciding that the prophecy shall be renewed, unless And what do Keshar/Elynia/Galas have to say about the whole setup?

Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.x)
Hello! I like the campaign so far. However, I am having the same trouble in Tunnel Vision that I believe others have also had: the scenario does not end. I tried everything I could think of to make it end after finishing off the last of the trolls, sending my units all over the tunnel to step on things in hopes of triggering something, but nothing happened. I checked here and followed instructions, re-downloading the campaign and starting the scenario over, and still I can't get the scenario to end. Could you make the explosions be triggered by a plate like the plate you used to trigger the bridge-lowering? You could put the plate behind the troll keep somewhere...
Thanks for an interesting campaign!

Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.x)
I re-started the campaign, with the latest version, and went through it again. I just killed the last troll in Tunnel Vision and nothing has happened. For some reason (possibly because I have a mac? I don't know...), :n (which is supposed to force a win so that I can go to the next scenario, right? I've never tried to do it before) doesn't do anything. I really, really want to play through the rest of the campaign... I tried last time around to alter the scenario file in order to force a victory, but I could not make it work for some reason.
Anyway, all this should be taken as an indication of my enjoyment of the campaign... it is really interesting, and I'm hooked.

Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.x)
Version 0.9.5 just went on the servers!
The story is being rewritten, and 2 more scenarios are added. The dwarves are now a playable faction in MP and several bugs are fixed.
Version 1.0.0 will be ready in the near future!

Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.2+)
Not sure if it has already been reported, but if the first unit you attack is a wolf, the wolf shouldn't talk to you... Also it seems your forgot to upload the flags for vills.
Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.2+)
Now Tunnel Vision ends with a victory message the instant one of your team steps back into the cave... most of my group were still outside, and there were certainly still trolls inside...
How do I trigger victory (or a change in the situation... that is what it looks like in your scenario file...) in Burning Suns? I moved to 55,32 with every character I had and nothing happened. Also, there is no go here icon at 55,32... I am going to hazard a humble suggestion (no sarcasm intended, I imagine you probably know more about wml than I do) and suggest that you put
{PLACE_IMAGE "items/gohere.png" 55 32} somewhere in your file... I think that should do it. I apologize if offering this advice constitutes a breech of etiquette. By the way, by the time my characters got to 55,32, they were so surrounded by enemies that the game would not have lasted for another turn. Every time someone moves either into the area around the oasis or moves within the area around the oasis, the message "So you're trying to escape now. Really, I don't know any bigger coward..." pops up and more elves appear... was that intentional? If so, that is cool, but it would be kind of you to make the objective more clear to the player, because it gets a bit depressing, setting up most of one's army as an obviously doomed wall while one's characters scrabble around on that cliff area (which, by the way, is an awesome terrain piece... did you make it?) trying to figure out how to make the scenario end... and every time one of the characters moves, there are more elves to contend with... eek!

Thank you for telling me this. Just replace the files.Matherton wrote:Now Tunnel Vision ends with a victory message the instant one of your team steps back into the cave... most of my group were still outside, and there were certainly still trolls inside...

Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.2+)
Thanks! I replaced the files with the new ones... but now Tunnel Vision has the old issue again, i.e., it does not end when you've killed the last troll.
My advice if you want it
Re: The Settlers of Light (1.9.2+)
In Burning Suns, the wood elves appear now, and there isn't a huge pile-up of enemies when you get near the oasis, but the scenario doesn't end after you've killed every enemy on the map...

There is also a bug in scenario 9 (2):
The scenario doesn't end....even if I have slaughtered every orc...
And my recall seems altered (All my units are weakened)
The hero deaths don't function properly. I lost Gawor in Burning sons, but didn't get a defeat result.

I don't know what you're talking about. Yes, Gawor is glitched, but I don't understand your recall problem. Screens?Lord-Knightmare wrote:There is also a bug in scenario 9 (2):
