hi there,

The Invincible Wall Campaign looks interesting but I get an error everytime.

Below is a screen shot of the error message that pops up after I have selected (easy,normal etc) and the Campaign starts to load .

I'm on Snow Leopard 10.6.2. ,Wesnoth 1.8.2

not sure what it means ,do I need to install a specific add on for this to go away ,or wait for a Campaign update?

Oh, shoot! The problem is right where you blocked it off! You'll need to show that to us so we can fix the problem!

And of course, I jest. Lord-Knightmare is still trying to fix-up some of the problems so wait patiently for now, he'll fix it soon.

Hi there,what I blocked is my real name or Home folder in OS X ,
HD>User>User name> etc ,sorry I didn't reveal that,I think it's not important
If someone is familiar with Mac OS is easy to identify what is missing

Version 1.1 should have no errors.
I tested it in 1.8.2 and the campaign loaded without any errors, but one thing still doesn't get fix:
the intro.cfg always causes an error- I removed and directly typed the story in the first scenario but it still caused the same error. :hmm:
So for the time being the story is disabled-sorry you didn't get the introduction to the Great Isle.

The Invincible Wall version 1.2 is the currently error fixed version in the 1.8 server and the intro works okay now.

And I have been also thinking about the storyline of the second campaign featuring the era: "The Rise of Genesis"
The campaign features the human mounted unit-lines and tells the story about how the city of Genesis was found by Tegwyn Knightmare.
But I need help with the storyline. :hmm:

I just installed this campaign, and I see that it appears on top of the campaign list. Any reason for putting it there instead of with the other add-on campaigns?

P.S.: Yes, I know I can just remove "rank=3" from _main.cfg

EDIT: Okay, I finished the first scenario (see the attached replay). The ending was quite disappointing. The elves had hardly any units left, yet my guy decided he can't beat them and has to flee. :roll: Maybe if some more elven units arrive at the end (either after turn 10, or when my guy reaches the signpost) it would make sense, but not when I could win with the forces I had left.

Also, it would be nice if my guy said anything when his allies fall.

BUG REPORT:
I start the second mission with 115 gold. Where's my early finish bonus? I finished the first scenario a turn early, so I'm supposed to get 80 bonus gold! However, looking at the code for the scenario (and the following one, too) I see nothing to indicate that I actually get any bonus gold.

Okay, The Invincible Wall is still a beta release so I have to fix it. But doesn't early finish bonus means finishing early. The first scenario has 12 turns giving you two turns to escape.
But I have to give carryover percentage.

Wait, is this campaign finished? If it's not, it shouldn't be 1.2. It has to be below 1.0 if it's not complete. But then again, I didn't get to play this yet.

I uploaded a complete stable version on the 1.8 server and has no bugs, I hope.
