Optimal number of turns for a scenario?
The amount of turns remaining when you beat a scenario determines how much bonus gold you get. What's a good rule of thumb to determine how many turns a scenario should have so the player doesn't get too much gold at the end?

Re: Optimal number of turns for a scenario?
I would say it depends on how hard/easy the scenario is, and how hard/easy the upcoming ones are.
If you want a hard campaign, have very few extra turns. If you want an easier one, give them a lot.
God bless,

The gold issue is covered in wonderful detail in ESR's Campaign Design How-To, which is also just generally very informative.

It depends on:
how big the map is
gold
enemy gold
campaign or mp scenario
how much turns you needed
campaign difficulty
difficulty
I know this is a lot,but balancing goes after writing.
