Nova, this update contains two additional, experimental scenarios, which are part of a branch that I may attempt. Can you please look over their play and dialogue? However, I would prefer that you finish making storyline graphics for the older branch first, as I am not sure if I will keep the newer branch. This also contains your dialogue edits, with a few changes.

version 4.3 released, for Wesnoth 1.3.4+

changes (dialogue and other) to Rockfall, Betrayal, Hordes of the Foul Undead, Gate of Storms, Exodus, Blockade and Return to Morogor
two scenarios added (Swamps of the Jamolar and Council of War), part of a possible branch (accessed from Survival)
attainable objective added to Survival
experimental wave animations in Rebellion
minor bugfixes
time over events added to some scenarios
non-expendable player characters are spawned with hero icon
balancing changes to Betrayal and Blockade
"ILLEGITIMIS NON CARBORUNDUM"

Hi, first I wanted to say I'm enjoying it so far. I'm at Scenario 4. I'm getting a strange message when I attempt to load After Turn 14. It says "Invalid Starting Position (1,38) for a unit on Side 4." Is this normal? Any way to remedy this? I'm playing on the development version.

This is interesting. I remember I also had one such case. I admit I will probably have removed the saved game. I don't know whether it was in the same scenario, but it turned out that one of the falcons (these units that are moving around and were you can get some training for your own units if you attack them without much danger) seemed to have moved ouot of the area. My solution was that I seeked for

Code: Select all

   x="1"
   y="38"
occurrances (well, I think it were different coordinates in my case) and just changed the
y-value to something smaller that moved the unit just back inside the map. After this I
was able to load the game again. IMHO, there are two things to do:

1. Find out the reason why the unit moves out of the map.
2. Enhance code that loads saved games to cope better with those cases.

Kind regards

Andreas.

Thank you. I went ahead and went through the scenario without reloading after Turn 14. I'm on The Drake Escape scenario now.

BTW.. loved the parts with the ships. My wife and I are pirate buffs. In fact, in Runescape, a game I've played a lot til recently, I have been behind a thread to get them to put Seafaring/Piracy into it. I've even heard they're working on it now. I shouldn't be too surprised as they've added about 25 ideas of mine to the game.

I could say I didn't need those easy to kill animals to level up with....but I'd have been lying. lol. It's taking a lot of adjustment to learn to play these drakes, but I learn extremely fast.

Other ship types to reference:

1-pinnaces
2-Barques
3-Fluyts
4-sloops

It's a bug. This will be fixed in the next release, but, for now, replace utils/npc.cfg with the attached file. However, this will not fix existing savefiles.

I am having trouble downloading the campaign from the on line server because it always times out.
Do you have another location to download from?

Tried the campaign server's web-based interface?

Hiya. My computer has been in the shop for ages, but I should get it back sometime this week. I had some thoughts about the new levels (which are a cool idea), and I'll see if any of my notes survived the repair soon.

I'm still behind FtF, it's just...harder...without a computer.
