Centauri group is almost done, 2 more games (i believe)
Faello vs Cackfiend
Faello vs Elido

2 spots have been given to advance to the 3 players mini round, and the 3 is still undefined.
Q. In case of a tie on the 3 place, what has to be done to break that tie?

The results vs one another.

If Faello wins both of his matches. He qualifies.
If Faello loses both of his matches, elido qualifies (tied with Cackfiend, the match against one another decides).
If Faello loses to elido, but defeats Cackfiend, elido qualifies (tied with Faello, the match against one another decides).
If Faello wins against elido, but loses to Cackfiend, Cackfiend qualifies (tied with Faello, the match against one another decides).

In other words elido, if you defeat Faello, you're in. If you win vs both tekelili and Dreadnough afterwards, you go on regardless of other games.

Simple really: win three times in a row and you're in 8.

Csarmi is correct.

I've removed powershot and PsyXs due to their inactivity and no response to my PMs. Players in Bode and Magellanic who hadn't yet played them have got byes. Thanks to negusnyul for his mini wesnoth marathon.

The Group stages were supposed to end this weekend but that doesn't look possible now. I'm going to extend the group stages for one more week, including next weekend. If players have not finished all their games by then then I may be forced to give the win to the player who was more active. In particular, everybody who feels they may make the top 3 should make an effort to arrange their games in time, if you cannot prove to me that you made an effort to play the game then you will lose possibly important points. Especially I'd warn both nelson and Kira1, both of whom have a good chance of making the top 3 but haven't been very active. I will not extend the group stages again and this will be enforced.

Can people also make an effort to post the times of the remaining games in the thread, some of the matches are quite important, as seen above, and people might want to observe them.

My game with Rene has changed to Saturday at 5pm GMT.

Yea the time zones. Cut the fan. You didn't login to any of the servers for weeks. You didn't take the time or effort to write here that you would resign for the whole november.

Worst spoiler ever. You make me dig up the winner from the cfg (or replay) to enter your result, yet anyone who watches the replay will know the result from turn 1 so you spoiled all the fun for them.

Hi !

Since some people have been removed and the group stages extended, could I take a replacement slot ? I have plenty of free time from now and would like to compete with you, even if I have no chance :D

Me and Rene started our game today, a loyals vs Khalifate that left my mouth watering for liminal khalifate. That said the replay is probably quite amusing when the fighting finally starts(If you weren't a player that is). We continue on Wednesday at 7pm GMT.

I'm sorry Gnork but the group stages have only been extended one week. I really don't think anyone could manage all their games in that time period and there are enough problems with unfinished games as it is.

Well, as I mentioned it I have plenty of free time this week so I think I could have managed as few as 7 games, but ok, I can wait the next tournament... no problem since I would have been defeated anyhow :annoyed:
