A thefish vs Horus match is going to happen soon, and when i say "soon", i mean right in the moment when he finishes the installing, and actually that can be only less than the eight minutes he reported previously. :)

It was an epic 31-turn thriller. Replay is really worth of watching.

this game was much more fun than i anticipated it would be. heads were rolling like in an parts in an assembly factory and both parties managed to level up a lot of units. in the end, the other side was still able to win the game which was especially interesting. i watched the rp from the lobby therefore no DL form my side :)

Horus(p2) lose vs thefish on HGB , knalgans vs loys respectively , horus lose started with an unlucky attack on the upper village.

I am battling thefish on the 1.9.10 server right now.

UPDATE: We ran out of time to play on turn 16, with me having a slight advantage, we must continue another day I suppose.

AI wrote:Looks like I interpreted noy wrong. He intended to say that you should use 1.9.10 with the old version of the khalifate. I'm not sure where he wanted you to get it though.

Anonymissimus recently checked in the last mainline version of the khalifate in in wesnoth-umc-dev, so you can now download a tarball of an addon containing the khalifate here. It's still a lawful version though, and you do have to know what to do with an archived add-on.

Noy and happygrue/wintermute are maintaining the khalifate, I don't really have anything to do with its development.

EDIT:
Also, you need to remove the #undef lines at the end of data/core/units.cfg in order for the add-on to work. This should not make your 1.9.10 incompatible with others.
Well, as far as I can see, you just need to put it into your userdata.
I edited the faction, however. I think that editing out undef lines is not a good idea in general (you wouldn't want the ones downloading/instealling the era to do that manually). I just fixed the movetypes in the khalifate main.cfg instead (I didn't know where would be nice to put the macros so i didn't mess around with #def and such, i just instered the correct defenses / movement costs.

Changing them to liminal is trivial (replace lawful=liminal) but we also need to change damages one-by-one. Doing just that.

Khalifate revisited!

LIminal and lawful versions attached.

The lawful version is the exact copy of the 1.9.9. Khalifate (I took AI's zip, unzipped it, corrected the movetypes to make it standalone (work without modifying core files).

The liminal version is what we might try in the tourney. It is a temporary version. We spent 2 hours with TBS to try and balance the stat changes (basically, we had to boost every units damage by 20%). We tried to stay as true to the original version as possible.

See this thread: (kf original test thread) http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php ... &start=270

And this thread: (kf left out of 1.9.10) http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35414

And this one for liminal: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=34952

I don't remember where we read that 1.11 and + would feature kf as liminal. There you go: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35312

Peace(Dwarf) vs. Powershot(orc). Peace won. Dwarves ultimately pawn orcs any day.
Good game.
14 turns.
