hello, in case i have not played any matches against nani until friday night (or all other matches are finished), declare nani as winner. nani is a good payer and has won already one match against me -

@nani: sorry that i missed the times we wanted to play - but we may meet thursday evening
The best bet is your own, good Taste.

Well well I hope that won't happen.
Mabuse:
It isn't alone your fault that we're not that far already. In fact it was me who didn't have a free
minute over the weekends which were formerly known as THE time to play ToC-matches.
After all I'm happy you finally have some time during the week, Thursday evening,
since the upcoming weekend will again be as dark as the last ones in case of bright spots to play.
And btw, you actually didn't miss a time-slot, since we couldn't agree on one yet.

best regards.

Round Robin Eurasion Bracket Winner: Pagan
  • paris vs nani 0:2
    1. : Silverhead Crossing : paris(Elves) vs nani(Knalgan) 0:1
    2. : Howling Ghost Badlands: nani(Knalgan) vs paris(Knalgan) 1:0

  • Pagan vs paris 2:0 (no detailed information available (yet), just for your info)
    1. : (Silverhead Crossing : Pagan vs paris 1:0)
    2. : (Howling Ghost Badlands: paris vs Pagan 0:1)

  • Pagan vs nani 3:0
    1. : Silverhead Crossing : Pagan vs nani 1:0 - a knalgan mirror that cried out for static warfare, I didn't want to, so I deserved to lose. :eng:
    2. : As a X-Mas present I give Pagan the other 2 matches. Pagan: you deserve it, Merry X-Mas 8)
Sry again Noy for doing it like this, but Pagan deserves the finals more than I do, rng shouldn't decide the rest...
And here rl starts my wesnoth-break, cu all someday again. :)

best regards, nani

North American bracket update:

with grrr out, the standings are currently:

Baufo 1:0 grrr
Wintermute 1:1 grrr
Wintermute 1:0 Baufo

If we count the games from grrr (which is a whole other issue, but I don't think it matters either way) then we are currently tied, and the path for Baufo is to win both of the next two games. (he would be in the lead if he wins the next game, but would have to win both to clinch). If I win one of the last two games but lose the other then we would tie (in terms of games won), but I would break the tie by winning the 2-out-of-3 series with baufo. So in short, regardless of counting the games with grrr or not, if I win one game I think I advance, and if Baufo wins both of the remaining games then he will advance. Correct me if I am in error. The next games are likely to be played this saturday sometime (afternoon UTC is my guess), since I am quite busy this week.

North American Bracket final results Winner: Wintermute

with grrr out:
Wintermute 2:0 Baufo.

Replays will be posted in the 1v1 replay archive after the tourny is over or perhaps sooner.

What is the status of the euro bracket? EDIT: /me reads the post above...

So as soon as the maps and such are posted, Pagan and I can start? Will it still be best of 3?

Nani, giving Pagan 2 free games as a Christmas present? :(

I sure hope not. Every other TOC Final has been best of 7 (outside of the mess that was the TOC3 Final). I'm not in charge of this one though, so it's whatever Noy says it is. I'd strongly recommend we stick with the 7, which has always given us very decisive and accurate results. At the very least, I'd hope for a best of 5.

When this decision is made, I'll post the maps.

Definitely Best of Seven. I've been holding off using the format because the people had problems finishing their best of three series. :p

Hmm yeah, well I knew I'd be off at least till jan before I started playing Pagan,
so I thought I could play some nice matches vs him before Dec24 and probably
play Winter after the little break, but the first match vs Pagan already required a style that
I promised myself never to use (again). Unfortunately that one is essential vs experienced
opponents and if I'm not even able to play the ToC-matches decently or recognize this earlier
I really don't feel worthy to go on. And that's just the meaning of "Pagan: you deserve it" ...
more than I do. He's the one with the better attitude...
I really think it was ok to do this, without any complaints! 8) (I hope you understand)
Additionally the wesbreak is extending for an indefinite time...
Still I might find some time and will again to watch the finals though,
thus I'd be glad to read an announcement here when the matches will be started.

thx already and best regards, nani

If the first map or two is posted before the weekend then I can start scheduling things with Pagan... which would be great. :)

(I also posted this in the other thread)

The maps for the Finals will be:

1. The Freelands

2. Sulla's Ruins

3. Den of Onis

4. Hamlets

5. (if needed) Caves of the Basilisk

6. (if needed) Silverhead Crossing

7. (if needed) Fallenstar Lake

* * * * *

Best of luck to Wintermute and Pagan! I have a feeling that this is going to be a great Finals. :)

Just a friendly reminder that this is the results thread, which should focus on results and things directly pertaning to said results. For more general comments, please use the other thread, so that we don't have to wade through lots of comments to get to the results
