[Complete] Tournament of Champions 2v2 Feburary 10th: signup
I moved this to the 10th because it seemed better for a variety of people, most importantly me.
OK I cannot stress this enough. You AND YOUR PARTNER need to be able to play around noon north American time, 6 London time.
The great bane of tournaments like this is people not showing up. In the last 1v1 tournaments 1/3 of the people didn't show and I had to replace them. This is at least twice as troublesome in a 2v2 scenario.
So feel free to sign up if you and your partner can be there. Feburary 10th. The three matches need to be finished by valentines day, and must be started on the 10th.
The first three maps will be:
Castle Hopping Isle
Mortuari
Loris river
So far teams are (I will update as people post):
Becephalus & ? (Mythological was my partner but he is AWOL)
DK & Noy
Soliton & Pietro
Horus & Steven
tsr & Phd
IB & ?
Greywolf & Zephyr
Sombra & Nordmann
jb & Wintermute

There are three roads to ruin: by gambling, which is the quickest; through women, which is the most pleasurable; and through taking the advice of experts, which is the most certain. -de Gaulle

I can't speak for Bec, but I wouldn't want to include Isar's at all (if I was running this tournament, which thankfully I'm not )... The low village/low gold count can make luck a significantly stronger factor than on other maps; probably best avoided for tournaments, in my opinion. The "boxed-in" effect of maps this small doesn't exactly help things either.Sombra wrote: Sombra + Nordmann
P.S: Question: Castle hoping ...=> "Land der Burgen"?
P.S.S: No clash or Isar´s cross in the first round as they are the most popular MP maps?
(No diss on Isar's. It's fun, just wouldn't be my choice for something like this.)
I will not tell you my corner / where threads don't get locked because of mostly no reason /

Prepare to die
Sign our team too:
Soliton + Pietro
It will be fun to play against Dk+Noy
I guess that it will be games of the year (or at least month)

Bad day for me:(
Just now I figured that I don't have time on 10th February.
I will be on the Ball (even if I won't catch any girl to go with me
I will be driver so no chance to be online that day).
I apologize, that I already subscribed.
Isn't possible to move it to another Saturday?
Or at least move our match to Sunday?

It should be possible, the problem is the exceedingly fine line between making reasonable exceptions, and the anarchy of everything taking 3 times longer than it should.Pietro wrote:Just now I figured that I don't have time on 10th February.
