The mistake in Czech translation.

Post by Mortles » April 24th, 2006, 7:26 pm

In HttT, in mission called Crossroads(Křižovatka), is dialogue, when Konrad come in crossroad and he say: "Dan'Tonk, we are so close to Weldyn."
And text is in Czech translated: "Dan'Tonku, jsme blízko Weldynu."
This translation is wrong. It must be: "Dan'Tonk, jsme blízko Weldynu."
Yes, this is small difference, but is wery important. The version with -u is in vokativ and is used, when anyone want call on someone. In Czech that sounds wery ugly. Can anyone fix that?

(Ps: I'm apologizeing for my bad english. I have never learnt english.)

I can't really recall if this was fixed or not, and as I do not have the translation source for HTTT and the web page that provides the sources is down, all I can say is "don't know". But yes, I noticed that, too, and maybe even fixed.

If you want to make sure this doesn't get lost, look up the mailing list address for Czech translation in Wiki and write it there, at least one person (me) keeps complete backup of everything that was posted. Don't expect any reaction, the team is currently quite inactive - or at least to me it looks like that.

Ehm, wrong. Only the server hosting the stats is down. You still can get the files via the "normal" gna viewsvn webinterface. You can find it over here: http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/wesnoth/trunk/po/. There you have to go into the subfolders and fetch the files named cz.po.
