iOS version 1.13.11 is out.

Post by singalen »

What is new:

* Merged performance improvements from upstream.
* Fixed several crashes, attempted to fix even more.
* Draw defense rating above a finger when dragging a unit.
* Added "End turn for this unit" context menu item.
* OS Keyboard now works in in-game console and chat.
* Various fixes from upstream.

The current priorities are:

* broken add-ons cause other add-ons to disappear (the cache corruption issue, which also causes crashes). It's very hard, but hits our users badly.
* iPhone version.
* on top of that, whatever quick fixes that improve a user experience.

Hi and a belated thanks for the update. However, can you explain why the stable version is not available for iOS? Seems a bad idea to have new players jumping straight into the dev version. Also, when I log onto the multiplayer lobby on the 1.13.11 version on my iPad it's not the same 1.13 lobby I see on my windows desktop computer. Are iOS players currently restricted to playing against other iOS users?
My current projects:
MP pirate campaign: The Altaz Mariners
RPG sequel: Return to Trent
MP stealth campaign: Den of Thieves

Well, all the work was done in dev version. 1.14 seemed very close, thus it's what the players got.
Backporting the iOS changes to 1.12 would take an unjustified amount of work.

No, to the best of my knowledge, 1.13 must be the same on iOS and desktop. I believe different minor releases use the same MP server, but not sure on this.

BTW, I just had an idea. We can, at the very least, build a 1.10 for iPhone on iOS 11. Currently, iPhone version doesn't exist on iOS 11, because it was only 32-bit.
