Did you like the new drag/swipe control style?

Not at all. Bring back the clicks!

What replaces the ‘right click’ option in iOS? I’ve tried the drop down menus, double tapping etc but no joy. I can’t progress in many scenarios without this!

Welcome to the forums!
A long tap (hold for 0.3 s).
Sorry for confusion, will update tutorial to include touch controls.

Still no hard estimate, sorry.
On top of that, my laptop battery died and it became dog slow up to being unusable, so I couldn't work on it through holidays 8(

When Wesnoth was available for iPhone the buttons were too tiny to click on.

Also, I’m wondering if there would be an option to use a physical keyboard for the iPad for the game since I have one and can play the game as if I was playing it on desktop.

Edit: That “i” in the bottom left corner “bug” is still there on the recent iPad iOS version.

I just started playing Legend of the Invincibles on an iPad (2017). Took a break, returned to load a save file, now Efraim is missing from every save file, so the game announces defeat as soon as I finish any unit’s move. Any ideas? Or should this post be moved to the thread for this campaign? Thanks in advance for any help!

Edit: If I delete the scenario, will that delete the save files as well? If not, might reinstalling the campaign fix the issues?

@SageSeer
Yup, that iPhone version looks too tiny for me too. Anyway, I'm recreating iPhone support from scratch - small screen support was wiped from Wesnoth years ago. Modern version will be more CPU intense, as it will scale images down in runtime, as opposed to compile time.
PMed you a question on Discord: what that option would do?
Yep, that "i" slipped in. On the other hand, it's not as bad as I thought, we can let it live.

@Aidoneus,
Deleting some OTHER add-on should help either - it still flushes the cache.
I'm working on this problem, almost got a fix. Sorry for being slow.

I downloaded another add-on and then deleted it. That worked, thank you!

That trick worked a second time, but not a third time. Is there another way to clear the cache?

Hm. It should.
Maybe even just installing a new add-on should work.
May I ask you to try it for a fourth time? I cannot reproduce it myself, so your help is greatly appreciated. I know it's irritating.

I’ve tried doing multiple add-ones and deletions.

Thank you very much for that.
That must be yet another bug.
I'm afraid I'll only be able to find another way to flush a cache in 9 hours.

I also found the old style movement much more intuitive than the new drag/swipe movement. Please consider implementing an option to enable the PC style movement in the ios port. Thanks!

I'm already considering it. Investing an actual work is a different thing :)
Just curious: how long had you been playing a desktop Wesnoth, the old iPad version and the new iPad version, itemized?

So far, I have VERY little statistics about mouse vs swipe control styles. Look at the responses in this thread's poll :)
Even if the poll was in favor of mouse-style, without too many votes it would be subject to the survivor bias: those who are happy with it have no reason to come to the forum and vote. A large amount of votes would be convincing, though.
I know about Silver Mage on iPad problem, looking into solutions.
