(1) Difficulty level & Version?
  • Corrupt (Challenging) 1.13.8
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
  • 4
(3) What did you think about the dialog and story?
  • Typical orc behavior, but the shaman acting as an arbiter for orcish claims was a nice touch.
  • I thought there might be some special dialogue exchange between Ras-Tabahn about the Krag-Ubor orcs. If there was I didn't trigger it.
(4) What were the major challenges you faced?
  • I foolishly tried to push towards both leaders at the same time, and that almost cost me the scenario. (Finished on turn 33 of 35.)
  • I was using bats to steal villages from the enemies, and sometimes the enemy units would get distracted and start chasing the bats. I thought this was a good stall tactic, but it might have helped the enemies: instead of facing a trickle of units (one or two at a time), now a larger group of enemy units (4+) would attack once they stopped chasing the bats.
(5) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
  • 7.5 - Nice open scenario with (it seemed) multiple ways of attacking the enemies.
(6) What suggestions do you have to make it more fun?
  • I was really hoping the orc shaman was going to keep score of the orcs' kills. Maybe at the end of the green orcs' turn, the shaman would interrupt to state the new score. And, after the blue leader is killed, the shaman could say the score one more time and the green orc leader would tell him to shut up (or something otherwise orcishly mean).

1) 1.14.1, difficult
2) 2-3
3) OK
4) It was actually a very easy scenario. First wipe out the enemy above you in few turns and then rush with everything to kill the second one. Enough defensive tiles, enough villages, enough number of experienced units to rotate them. I think, I lost only 2 units there (if I don´t count newly plagued walking corpses + their levelled form). However I actually started with all units already at lvl2 from previous battles. It is not ideal for farming experience (though I promoted at least 3 or 4 to lvl3). Also my finish bonus was only 24 gold...
