The N3T clan does not take an official position against FFA games with more than 3 teams. Personally, I like them, as do most of our members. It's a lot different from both 2 team games and 3 team games. The flow of the true FFA game is more chaotic than a two-team game obviously, but you get more interesting alliances, betrayals, etc.

btw, just stumbled across this thread.

imo, the net clan is not radical enough for me.
a secret brotherhood that joins 3 player ffa games just to ally against the host in order to humiliate, discourage and destroy the game is much more fun :lol2:

I would like to put in an application to join clan N3T.

Three team games are the scourge of Wesnoth. They are completely and utterly unbalanced, generally reward cowardice, and destroy any possibility of good tactical play. They are the lottery version of Wesnoth: who wins is decided by whether or not you are lucky enough not to get into the fighting at the right time, rather than the players tactical skills.

Three team games deserve to be coded out of the game, and their players need to join a rehabilitation program, so that their is no chance of them reintroducing three team games via user-made content.

N3Ters, rejoice. I give you mathematical proof that not only are three-way contests imbalanced, but they tend to favor the weakest contestant.

Very interesting, thank you. (I now remember that I actually have already seen this very proof in some book but never made the link to n3t.)

I don't generally like 1v1v1 for obvious reasons, but before proceeding any further...

Is there any clan that officially supports these games? 8)

Nothing official that I know of; although you could probably find a bunch of N00bs who would.

Yeah, DarthFool started an "Free For All Clan", unfortunately by announcing in this very thread...

Apparently it doesn't have any formal members or even its own thread, though.

Count me in. I played one today, all random, and came up undead against two loyalists. They grabbed most of the villages on the map during the first day, and then when I tried to take a couple back at night, they ignored each other to stomp me, and didn't even attack each other until I was pretty much eliminated.

Sounds like a good enough reason for me, but you have to wait for F8 to add you to the list. ;)
