army did not carry over to 2nd scenario ?

i'm in the 1st campaign, i played the escape (1st) scenario, had about 5 units in my army: they didn't seem to carry over to the 2nd (port) scenario ? thanks

They don't automatically start recruited - however, at any spot you can recruit, you can also recall. Recall brings up the units from previous scenarios, which can be brought back and used more.
