Hi guys.
Is that possible to use some of the awesome music tracks for a persistent roleplayinggame.

As long as the game is released under the GPL, there should be no problem.

composers*

It's generally considered more polite to ask, but it's not mandatory as long as you give credit and your project/use of the material is GPL compliant (AFAIK).
Jazz is not dead, it just smells funny - Frank Zappa

Then you must make sure that the project in question is licensed under the GPL. If it isn't, you cannot use Wesnoth's music. As a quick google search for "gehenna games" only showed me a German gaming community for some game (I didn't see which) and, probably unaffiliated with this, a broken website, I have no idea whether it is be GPL. Generally, I doubt that a mod for a game can/will be GPL.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, nor can I speak for the Wesnoth team.

I heard once that the whole project doesn't have to be under GPL if the music is under GPL. The reason is that one could regard the programm as a player for multimedia material and so having a more or less separation of the two things. It might be that you just have to make that material available for download. But then it might also be different. I am also not a lawyer.

However in one of the projects I am working on, the code is under GPL and the sound/graphics is under CC-BY-SA and we hope that this is okay. It sounded like the natural choice for each.
