Hello John, welcome to the forum! :)

To get started I suggest local campaign (tutorial) on 1.12.6, which is the latest stable release.
(Versions with uneven numbers between the dots are development releases.)

Have fun!
I have a cunning plan.

Hi everyone!

Some years ago a friend showed me the game and I realy love it!
We played a lot an one night we decided to creat a new race. Everything does work more or less, I even made a small campaign (Thanks to this website, it's so great and a very good help)! But there is one thing, ok, there are a lot, but one I don't get to run, so I came here to find some help!

Feel free, to help me:

Thanks a lot!

If my English is bad, I'm sorry. I just realised that it's a long time ago since I wrote in English the last time... ;)

Well, I didn't know this exists. I'm Dan, a 15 year old that started since half a year to learn programming. I love games with good stories, so Battle For Wesnoth is surely on my favorite list(I play this since I was 4  ) . I wish to end up creating a really good story for any game and I guess the best start would be around here.

Hey guys, I'm a officer by day and an artist(I hope) by night.
I play the game every now and then and decided I should contribute my skill into it.
If you need help on art, please let me know and I'll see what I can do for you.
I do things, including arts. Mostly fan arts.

Welcome to the forum :)

Head over to the Art Contributions forum, there is still work to be done on sprites and animations.

Hi!
I am a Wesnoth player for 7 years. I finally decided to contribute something to the game. I can draw specific images if they needed. I would like to be a part of a new project too, I can help brainstorm on the storyline. One thing: since I work, I have not too much time, so I'd be slow sometimes.

Hello!
I've been a player for some years and decided to join the game's community now.
I don't know if translators are needed, but I can translate from english to italian if needed.
Speaking of which, the newly added mainline campaign "Secrets of the ancients" is currently english-only, if it's allowed, I would like to help!

There are a couple translations, but we don't have Italian yet. If you want to work on it, that would be great. You should check in the translations forum to see if it's already being worked on though.
Campaigns: Dead Water,
The Founding of Borstep,
Secrets of the Ancients,
and WML Guide

Hi! I'm FourStars. I've been playing multiplayer under various names since 2006, when I was 15, but this is the first time I've posted here.

I'm looking to improve my play, and maybe contribute some code to Wesnoth at some point.
