Depends who I'm fighting. Heaven knows I don't want to be meeting a skeleton archer with a spear or a bow.

If I'm dealing with horsemen, on the other hand...

Fire arrows: I still am not sure why those things would be effective against skelotons.

Well the only part of a human body that can survive being set on fire must be weak to fire...right?
I sometimes think that weakness was pure balance, it doesn't seem to have an explanation like other weaknesses.

My least favorite weapon is the melee attack on an Elvish Lady, completely useless! :P

An old, dried out skeleton burns relatively well, would be the handwave. I don't know whether it's strictly true in real life, but it is in Wesnoth. WINR.

in mythology, fire is often symbolic of either destruction or purification, so i'd say that fire affects skeletons so much because it interferes with/weakens the arcane enchantments that are animating them.

To clarify: it's not fire hurting bones that bothers me, it's that the arrows would connect for long enough to do any damage that way.

I'm not too fond of touch attacks that do impact damage. A touch attack that can do impact damage would better described as a "slam".

for the arrows to be lit, there has to be some sort of flammable substance on it, probably a liquid. then when it hit the skeleton, some of the liquid would smear off onto the skeleton. also, the arrow could penetrate the bone and get stuck in it that way.

Pitchforks, since they don't seem to do anything other than poking at the enemy and do minor damage.

I don't know if not having a weapon could be described as your least favorite, but i do hate having an adept and then getting owned by a berserker.

Don't cause us to need it. You should know how to apply it yourself by now.

WINR.

Just for the challenge ;).

Fantasy games will always be somewhat unrealistic, otherwise they'd be Non-fiction games instead. If something doesn't seem right... a mage did it!
