I think you should have an option for Konrad to shout "Hey, what's that over there?" so that he legs it whilst the orcs are distracted.

In all seriousness a fork of Heir to the Throne in which you can make or break alliances with anyone you want would be rather interesting. Maybe a bit harder to code, but you could see lots of different ways to play it through.

It would be interesting to give Konrad more options and freedom. I know I get tired of Delfador lecturing Konrad and telling him what to do, especially once Konrad hits level three.
Maybe you could even side with the orcs against the queen? Do it when Delfador leaves you and give him a surprise when he returns:
Konrad: "I've been waiting for you, Delfador. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master."
Delfador: "Only a master of evil, Konrad."

Actually....a good idea came out of this thread: more branches for mainline campaigns. Or even campaigns generally.

Yeah, more coding/balancing, but also more fun. No effort = no payoff. Keeping things simple is great, but not at the expense of having nothing. Growth is a natural process for all things, unless they die.

Will Wesnoth grow or die in this respect?
