No. You just need to search for a good text editor for Windows which can handle UTF-8 encoded text with UNIX-style line terminations.

I personally use Notepad++ for Windows. Google is your friend. Although... Wordpad on Windows XP seems to be able to handle WML files, you sure must try something else.

Note: text editor != text processor.

There's nothing wrong with Wordpad for WML. There's certainly plenty more that could be right, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

< means 'is less/worse than'.

Notepad++ is best, wordpad's OK, notepads, pants. Of the three.

It's more like notepad < wordpad <<< notepad++

i.e. notepad and wordpad are both poor. notepad++ is good.

Textpad would also be good.

Very simple programs to install.

notepad++ is the best I think, because you could easily find the line that contains errors.

Windows' Notepad (don't confuse with Notepad++) cannot handle most WML files due to their line ending format. Sorry, the alternatives are reduced to Wordpad, Notepad++ or anything else. :mrgreen:

Notetab pro works quite nicely, and has nice tabs & functions. :) It seems to be able to take the line-endings fine.

I'm using UltraEdit for all my editing needs - it's a very powerful editor. Sadly, it isn't free.
