Are you saying that evil dwarves would fight in some way fundamentally different from the way good dwarves fight? Different enough to require a whole new faction?

I think they are called Duergar, them evil Dwarves, at least in Baldur's Gate.

duergar - darkdwarves - are just not always evil. they have just an other social life and live under the surface. not evil - just chaotic

IIRC, (A)D&D has Hill Dwarves, Mountain Dwarves etc. that live where the names would suggest.

D&D has a knack for oversimplifying things...

yeah, because the fact that dwarves are greedy, selfish, violent, and stubborn doesn't make them bad, only human, and humans aren't bad...
