I don't use windows, but i know three windows users who have just downloaded the xdelta, didn't know what to do with it, so downloaded the whole thing.
That's not a bandwidth saving. Some sort of instruction would be very handy.

I made unofficial deb packages of Wesnoth for Ubuntu Hoary. They can be downloaded from http://eambrouwer.kabel.utwente.nl/file ... ubuntu.tar

This file is locate on my home server with only 256 kbs upstream, so be patient. If many people want to my packages I would like to upload them to a wesnoth server.

You should run gzip or (better if common on debian) bzip2 on you tarfile to compress it.

Use "-9" option for smaller result.

That does not make sense on debian packages: they are compressed.
