Windows users should note that the Dec 22 snapshot for Windows did not have the same problem, and is still available at http://www.whitevine.net/wesnoth/win-0. ... -22-03.exe

There is a known bug that if you run it from the command line with a working directory other than its installation directory, it will crash.
