Better write this in finnish also as swedish, french and english does not seem to be enoughmiyo wrote:As a fallback you can also get files from http://files.wesnoth.org/ - you should first try to get files through SourceForge to help us save bandwidth.

Kaiken varalta tiedostot ovat haettavissa myos osoitteesta http://files.wesnoth.org - yritä kuitenkin ensin hakea tiedostot SourceForgesta jotta saamme säästettyä verkkoliikenteessä.
I'm here to inform the Italian player that the Italian version contains some major errors because i had accidentally copied some prefix (like TitleScreen Button^button name) and so the text does not fit so good on the buttons... it is my fault, i know.
I just finished to make the corrections to the two files that contains that kind of stuff, but i suppose that they will be unavailable since the next release...
I'm sorry.

Actually several versions of LOTR have a printer's error... both sides have The Book to back up their claims. (Mine says omentielvo.) There's one edition where it says omentilmo even. Bad.[/b]cyberfrag wrote:Oh mighty master of languages...miyo wrote: Elen sÃÂla lúmenn' omentielmo.
Shouldn't this actually read "Elen sÃÂla lúmenn' omentielvo"?

Well, I think the question is, whether it is Frodo alone, who is greeted, or him and his whole company (Sam, Pippin, Merry).
Case one would use dual plural (ending -vo -> that's also what my edition says), case two would use inclusive plural (ending -mo -> of course the ending Miyo should use as he is addressing not only one).
Well - that's as far as I get it - I'm not really any good on Quenya...

Yes, we know there is ebuild of wesnoth - how it lives is beyond our control. Officially we only release sourcecode, all binaries/packages/etc are contributions and have lives of their own.fromooze wrote:Do you know there's a gentoo ebuild of wesnoth??
Then you should ask 'mr_bones' to update the ebuildfromooze wrote:Is done for someone called 'mr_bones' and the last version avaliable is the 0.8.2 :?

Just for information's sake, the ebuild for Wesnoth was updated to version 0.8.4 on the day of the release here. In fact, I saw the ebuild on packages.gentoo.org before I found that it was released (I had to force-refresh to get the release news item on the front page).
Apparently there was a problem with 0.8.3 that made them not include that version in portage. Something to do with not building with gnome/kde? Anyways, that doesn't matter now I guess.

Mandrake 10 Backport
Hi,
The following links will take you to a Mandrake 10 backport of the cooker/contrib SRPMS. All of the real credit goes to 'Misc' who actually packages the Mandrake RPM.
Links Below:
http://www.neuro-tech.net/~jwp/trow/wes ... k.i586.rpm
http://www.neuro-tech.net/~jwp/trow/wes ... k.i586.rpm
As a footnote, this will probably be the last backport I do for Mandrake 10. MDK 10.1 is in RC, and I'll be switching soon. . .
Have Fun!

My version of the Mac OSX 0.8.4 is now (=finally) up on the sourceforge downloads page.

I have also uploaded the Wesnoth for Mac OS X package to http://files.wesnoth.org as it takes some time for SourceForge mirrors to get in sync.
