Need help trouble shooting era

I'm trying to making a new era and when the game starts up it says one of my new units has an undetermined element tag.
Anyways my point is what is an element tag and how do I fix this error?

Doesn't ring a bell. Could you post the exact wording? Better yet, post the offending file.

PS put stuff posts this in tech support, users forum, or S&C. The coder's corner is for source code rather than WML.

I took a quick look in the alphabeticalWML webpage and I haven´t found any such thing.
But I get this error message at the modified era(not sure if I have the newest version):

[element] tag is not closed. And an unexpected tag close two lines deeper.

I´ve fixed it in two minutes. An [+images] tag was not closed. But the close tag WAS closed,
the tag itself not. Confusing. :? :shock:

Well, look at the Bladesman.cfg file for tags that aren't closed.
Or post the file here as scott said.

heres an archive of all the factions files.

Just so you know the names are jsut there so I can test the faction they arn't going to be the real names
also I solved my previous problem but i still have more issues.

1. Um... my bladesman only hits 1s when its supposed to be hitting 4s or at least 3s. Its even hitting 1s on orc assassins wtf mate?

2. terrain defence values don't seem to be working.

3. Im the human player and can't recruit but the ai can. (I think the
computer is racist)

4. How do I make a movetype and where do I put it?

5. plz forgive me for saying wtf in advance

These probably aren't causing all of the problems, but you do have some very odd unit ID's in the era file, such as:

    type=Dwarvish Steelclad_allfactions
    leader=Dwarvish Steelclad_allfactions,Dwarvish Runesmith_allfactions,Dwarvish Stalwart,Dwarvish Thunderguard,Dwarvish Axethrower
    recruit=Dwarvish Guardsman,Dwarvish Fighter_allfactions,Dwarvish Ulfserker,Dwarvish Thunderer,Dwarvish Runner,Gryphon Rider
Also, in Bladesman.cfg, you have type=Blade, when it should be type=blade.

that helps and the _allfaction thing I just copied the default factions from the all factions era so ya. I still need to know about the human can't recruit thing and how to make the defence tag work or tell me how to make a new movement type

I believe that the "_" in the ids causes problems with recruit.

In the id, you can have normal spaces. And there are always normal spaces used. 8)

Well guess what? all I had to do was make a real move type thanks to the makers of the imperial era I used it for referance
