No Mainline Campaigns

I installed Wesnoth 1.12.6 on Ubuntu 18.04, and none of the mainline campaigns installed with it. I haven't been able to locate the logs by any of the recommended methods.

You may need to install each of the campaigns separately, since Ubuntu breaks each individual campaign up into a separate package. I would very much suggest getting 1.14 via Steam or flatpak, though.

To have everything installed in one go, you should use the "wesnoth-1.12" metapackage, which pulls everything but the music (which is just a recommended package).

I would very much suggest getting 1.14 via Steam or flatpak, though.

Once I would've also suggested to take a look at this PPA; however, since the last package was built 50 weeks ago, we can safely assume that it's dead (its last version is 1.14.5).

The Mainline campaigns aren't in the add-ons that I can find, and my install of 1.14 won't launch for some reason.

Ah, alright. The mainline campaigns aren't considered add-ons; you should see them by default if you click the "Campaigns" button on the main menu.

Hmm... I'm not sure then. The only other possibility I can think of is you could try searching Ubuntu's software manager for the individual campaigns. For example on Linux Mint if I search for wesnoth I get:

Otherwise, we're not directly involved in how Wesnoth gets packaged on Ubuntu, so you'd probably need to file a bug report with them here.
