Labels on Maps
Is it really that hard to get the label tool to work on a regular map? I am not a WML user, honestly not really interested in learning.
If I have missed something please advise. I would simple like to add place names to my own created maps.

Re: Labels on Maps
You mean, you are using the map editor and want to add labels?
The map editor has two modes, the map editor and the scenario editor.
Maps consist only of terrain codes, labels are saved in the WML format.
There is no direct way to transform a map to a scenario, but you can make a new scenario and look how the map is saved there and copy the old one over into the new file. IIRC scenarios created by the scenario editor have the contents of a scenario tag, except that the tag is left out and only the content is there.
The scenario editor can place labels.

Try out the dark board theme.
