game crashes at the end of scenario

Post by nuer »

Hi everybody, I searched for similar error but didn't find an appropriate solution, so I'm posting here.

I'm playing Legend of the Invincibles, at the end of "Chasing Dragons" scenario, when I kill the last leader, the game crashes.

OS - Ubuntu Studio (freshly installed on a new PC)
Game version - 1.12.6

launching the game from terminal, this is the output after the crash

Code: Select all

I'd recommend upgrading to 1.14 first of all, whether through Steam(1.14.4), the flatpak(1.14.4), or the PPA(1.14.3) - this bug may already be fixed there, and even if it's not, 1.12 is not likely to be getting any more updates at this point.

I'll try and let you know.
anyway, I don't think is a version issue, since I moved the saved game on another PC, with the same version of the game, and it worked fine.
bringing back the saved game on the new pc, the next scenarios don't give any problem

well the point is more that 1.12 is no longer maintained any noone remembers how it worked back then. We won't investigate wesnoth bugs on wesnoth versions older than 1.14.

So when it comes to 1.12, we cannot really help you more than anyone else with knowlegde about computers.
Scenario with Robots SP scenario (1.11/1.12), allows you to build your units with components, PYR No preperation turn 1.12 mp-mod that allows you to select your units immideately after the game begins.

Might be a 1.12 problem. But Legend of the Invincibles is add-on content, and you're talking about it failing on Ubuntu Studio but not on "another PC" so I'm thinking there's little we could help with even if we're willing to dig into 1.12 since it sounds like a problem for the PPA maintainer, if not the content authod.
I forked real life and now I'm getting merge conflicts.
