Install My Userdata on an External Harddrive

Hi I am a longtime Wesnoth player. In the old versions of Wesnoth, it would give you the option to install the userdata in the same folder as the game. Now I cannot figure out how to install the userdata in the same folder. Please help!

It sounds like you want to use this option when launching Wesnoth:

  --userdata-dir arg              sets the path of the userdata directory to 
                                  $HOME/<arg> or My Documents\My Games\<arg> 
                                  for Windows. You can specify also an absolute
                                  path outside the $HOME or My Documents\My 
                                  Games directory.

how would I get to this option? I cannot find it. I do not install Wesnoth with source code, I use the standard windows installation.

You can add it via right-clicking on the Wesnoth shortcut, going to Properties, and adding it to the Target field(example, since I don't use Windows).
