Cannot Find User Data/Add-ons Folders

Post by TheCreatorT »

Pretty much what the title says. I created my own folders with the proper names still nothing. I went through paths in preferences, but it says the folder cannot be found. Any ideas? My Wesnoth version is 1.12.6.

I have been hesitant to post because I really don't know what I'm talking about, but I have seen some similar threads that turned out to relate to Windows hiding its AppData files. Maybe searching for that here or on the web will help. Making your own folders won't do anything. (I assume this is Windows because the paths are straightforward to go to in Linux.)

At least in Linux Mint, it's in the .local directory which is hidden by default.

OK, but the link in preferences still takes you right there. The OP tried that, and said it didn't work, which I doubt would happen in Linux.

Windows shouldn't either - entering a value into windows explorer will take you to the location whether it's hidden or not.
