Music isn't playing

Hello people,

first of all thanks in advance for your cooperation

I am running wesnoth version 1.12 in linux mint rafaela 17,2

so as you read before, my problem is that even if music is enabled (and all other media enabled) i can't hear any music. all other sounds, are perfect.

i tried downloading addons and addons campains with their music. up to no avail. music isnt working.

I can survive without music, but i've been dealing with this problem for a long time, maybe a year or so. but, it would be soooo coool to get the music back working!

i couldnt find any other topic dealing with this. well yes there is just one but related to the android port.

I am able to hear music fine in Min 17.3, though I didn't have a problem in 17.2 either. Can you start Wesnoth from the terminal with the following command, and post the wesnoth.log file?
