Need help with this (installation issues)

Okay, so I download Wesnoth, and I get this .rar file

What should I do now? How can I play?

Well, how about unpacking it with WinRar or another such program?

When asking for help the least you should do is tell us your OS (Windows, Linux, etc.) and Wesnoth version (1.8.6, 1.9.6, etc.)

Oh, right, I downloaded the Windows version, sorry about that

And I did exract it, but I still got nothing

I mean, can't see any way to open the game at all

? The Windows installer is an exe (named wesnoth-1.9.6-win32.exe or wesnoth-1.8.6-win32.exe depending on which version you've downloaded), so what rar are you talking about?

Try downloading from : http://www.wesnoth.org/
It the button will link you to a download mirror. Just select which OS.
Then allow the installation to occur.
