1.9.0 problems with Under the Blazing Sun

I've got a number of problems showing up in 1.9.0
Mac Pro Dual 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM, OSX 10.5.8

Running the scenario - Under the Blazing Sun
Across the Harsh Sands - by the time I got to Turn 5
= Very slow
= Impossible to Save - refuses to accept keystrokes

So I reloaded game
Reloaded previous save
= action OK
= save OK

A Stirring in the Night - Turn6 - when 'end turn' is engaged then during the AI combat sequences games CTD - following report:

Tried this several times, always CTD. Tried restarting and reloaded, but CTD every time.

Can you please attach a savegame of this issue? Makes reproducing it a whole lot easier. ;)

Firstly, the name of the campaign is Under the Burning Suns
I haven't played it yet so I can't help with that...

The Desert Sentinel and Prowler, both have that problem because the base frame is new while animation frames are not.
