Loading multiplayer game + Lost turn

Hi,
I am playing a multiplayer game with my 2 brothers, we are playing on two XP computers and one vista. Our game has crashed every now and then, probably not due to the game though, mostly connection issues. Although when we load the autosave, everything works fine until the loading player ends his turn. The two following players don't recieve any money, their units have already moved and no units regenerate, the only thing they can do is end their turns. It is as if their turn just dissapears. The AI gets to do his turn though. This was fine the first time but now we really need a way to stop this from happening. We are playing the 1.7.11 - 1.8-beta4 [English] [Windows] version of Wesnoth,

I have encountered similar behavior when playing with a friend (both on Mac OS X 10.6.x with different builds of the 17.x line).

As far as I can tell it's only a problem with the autosaves. Manually saving and loading seems to work fine, although of course it takes more effort, especially if the game crashes frequently (2-3 times a match for me, sometimes).
