How do I place units and events in custom maps in 1.6? I was told that in 1.4 you just right clicked, but that has a different function in 1.6

If someone actually told you that you can place units in the map editor, then they're completely clueless. You can't place anything but terrain and the leader starting positions.

What about the scenarios that already have units in them? Or statues, like in The Basilik's Cave?

That placement is done via WML in the corresponding text file, not on the map itself.

Take a good look at the 'create' button at the top of the page.

Happens to the best of us. Poke around in places like the WML Workshop and the User's Forum and you'll see you are not alone.

Most questions you have on WML should be answered in the wiki, or can be found through searching the forums.
