This is a response to Blades' comments in the Elipsis topic. I thought it might be best to post as a new thread.
Blades is right in that 0.5.2cvs won't work with the standard multiplayer settings.
If you use multiplayer then either you need to use v0.5.1 and connect to server.wesnoth.org
or use the v0.5.2cvs and connect to kanetti1848.kanetti.com
The development versions connect to different servers. I should have mentioned this, but got too caught up in trying to solve the hp problem.

If you want to play on the main server:
server.wesnoth.org
Then I have uploaded a new version of 0.5.1 which should not suffer from the elipsis problem. It will still need to be run in Windowed mode to see the HP though.
