Screen screwed up

When I try to load a scenario it goes through the "Loading" part, but then it gets stuck on the loading screen. It thinks that I can see the map (It shows me the scenario objective but not the map) and I can hear the music. I have no idea what is going on. It has been like this for about a week. I am running 1.4 on Mac os x. If you need any more information please ask.

Here some useful questions for a good troubleshooting:

Which version you're using?
the problem arose in conjunction with a game version upgrade?
Have you tried to restore default preference values?
Have you tried to roll-back to the previous version?

I am using 1.4 on Mac osx
1.4 was the first version that I downloaded, so I don't think it was a game version upgrade problem (though I tried downloading 1.2 after 1.4 screwed up and I had the same problem.)
I have also tried putting the preferences back the way they were and the problem has remained.
Like stated before, I have also tried to download 1.2, but I still get the same bug.
