Re: Random Window Resizing
Can you please file this as bugreport against the corresponding package? (I expect it to be xscreensaver?) It would help other users to not stumble into the same problem - thanks!teptwep wrote:Hello all,
I've figured out what the problem is. It's the screen saver shipped with debian. Even if you are moving the mouse or pressing on the keyboard, the screensaver activates and makes the running application switch from fullscreen to windowed.
disabling the screensaver fixed the switching problem for me.
System->Preferences->Screensaver
and deselect "Activate screensaver ..."
Re: Random Window Resizing
Hello Rhonda,
I just found out that somebody else has filed a bug report back in 27 Feb 2006, and from reading the posts, I don't think they are too eager on fixing it.

by the way this is happening with xscreensaver and gnome-screensaver. so even if you uninstall xscreensaver, gnome-screensaver doesn't fair better.
I have to confess, I'm starting to really miss fedora, and i'm regreting ever switching to debian.
fedora didn't have this problem or any of the many other problems that i'm facing now after doing the switching.

Re: Random Window Resizing
Thanks, I did send a message to the maintainers of the package (Cc'ed to the bugreport) yesterday and it already got responded. Propably they have just missed it over the time and my message stirred them up. I honestly hope that they will add the configure switch and not just have added the patch from in there, I will keep an eye on it.teptwep wrote:Hello Rhonda,

So long, and thanks for digging it up.
