Does Wesnoth need a proper installation?

It's just that the only broadband computers i can access have silly download bans (meaning you can only click "Run" instead of save). So if I installed Wesnoth onto a CD (or Flash drive etc) from these computers, can I just copy the files from the CD onto my own computer and Wesnoth will work?
Sorry if this post is a bit confusing btw...

Should work alright, i did this on WinXP and it worked flawlessly. The only thing is you'd have to create your shortcuts yourself. Other than that, no problem =)
