Unable to compile 0.4.8 in Linux Mandrake.

The make just dies while linking sdl_mixer funtions, I have SDL_mixer 1.2 (more or less default Mandrake 9.1 install)
The problem is that my lib doesnt come with ogg and smpeg enabled.
I know how to fix it, but maybe it's a good idea to put an advice and make a static linked linux binary to less tech inclined players.

What we really need is a configure script.

Statically linked binaries could also help.

hmmm, interesting, It worked fine with mine, and I have a default install of mdk9.1
