Hello,

Wesnoth 1.13.8: Development Release.

Under the Burning Suns

6a. In the Tunnels of the Trolls

Turn 2

<Lua error> lua/wml-tags.lua:742: bad argument #2 to 'scroll' (number expected, got nil)
stack traceback:
[C]: in field 'scroll'
lua/wml-tags.lua:742: in local 'cmd'
lua/wml-utils.lua:145: in field 'handle_event_commands'
lua/wml_flow.lua:6: in function <lua/wml-flow.lua:5>

The way is not open and you cannot continue the mission. I was allied with dwarves.

I did it with new units and repeated it with old ones: same bug.

Linux Mint 18.1

Someone's broken something they shouldn't have, but according to my quick testing that particular problem is easy to fix: if you replace your /data/campaigns/Under_the_Burning_Suns/utils/macros.cfg file with the attached fixed file, and then restart Wesnoth and load the beginning-of-scenario save (not turn 1 save or later), it should work.

Another Lua error is coming in Out of the Frying Pan. When the first humans are supposed to appear, we get this:

Formula error in formula:1
In formula blue 3
Error: Could not parse expression

For myself, I just commented out the offending code, but you need to check the color-shifting formula. (Appears in 1.13.8, and up-to-date 1.13.8+dev.)

Oh crud, my bad. :|

It's fixed now. The problem was in the same file as the previous one, so here's a fixed version of that again.

Good job on the bronze armor though, it looks really cool.

EDIT: There are more broken [scroll]s in The Final Confrontation.

Ah, of course. :| Here's a fixed scenario file to correct that, put in Under_the_Burning_Suns/scenarios/ (not in Under_the_Burning_Suns/scenarios_old).

@Pepe: Did you still have Elyssa on your recall list in Out of the Frying Pan? The WML to remove her looks right, but she was still there when I played.

Aye, apparently in 1.13.8 an engine bug was introduced which prevents [kill] from working on units on the recall list, meaning that Elyssa doesn't disappear as she should. It's already been fixed though.

Yes, i was carrying Elyssa until The Final Confrontation. She was very useful.

I was playing with old units and had to put cfg file in Under_the_Burning_Suns/scenarios_old

It fixed error and i could finish scenario.

I had error unknown unit type: Quenoth fighter
but i could continue playing it.

I usually play in debug mode because i use it to translate.

Yes, you choose either old or new in the difficulty menu. The choice will disappear once the new units are finished, sometime before 1.14.
