You're absolutely right
Indeed my opinion is that a damage soaker is better than a damage dealer and that I have better chances in a 2 units competition with a tedium but polyvalent pair rather than with specialized units which could be countered too easily imho.

Anyway I am just an average player who don't hope to win but just wish to have fun, so I will simply try my two favourite units and see what happen

Round-robin sounds good to me, asI dont think there will be toomany players...

now, who wants to be organiser of this round-robin? I am willing to help if needed but I will generally be too busy to take control.. ( not to mention I cant organisise anything for peanuts.. )

Well.. If we are taking this seriously we should probably use mainly 1 vs 1 ladder MP maps, like freelands, weldyn, Den of Onix(?), etc.. Maybe throw in a few of Doc's more.. interesting maps Just because I think this is more a fun round-robin thn anything particularly serious. Mind you, I still do think there should be rules.. (no adept damnit! I want my fighters to live past first night!) (starting gold, era, etc..)

But first, lets start the thread and see if anybody even wants to play this in the first place!

Hello. First post, how about a Troll Grunt & Elvish Archer combo? It seems to cover quite a bit.
I've read the thread, though I sence I'm overlooking something..

2) That fat human bloke with crazy armor, shield, and huge spiked mace
