Units in IftU

I'm just starting this campaign and im wondering what units should i start leveling up? I like to know this before i get into a campaign,

really you should be trying to figure this out for yourself. You should never expect answers to be handed to you on a silver platter. (despite what I am about to do)

however, if you must really play that way...

In the first few levels, leveling a shaman to a druid, and another to a sorcerer would be a very good idea. Melee tanks will be needed. When you receive access to the unit, leveling multiple adepts to liches, and maybe one or 2 necromancers will be very important, if not essential. When you receive access to the unit, leveling warrior spirits will be important as well.

Additionally, in this campaign you will find there are many useful units for you to level, so you may end up having to go by the old method of trial and error regardless.
