Team Survival: how to know the spawn points?

Post by Woefdram »

I'm stuck on the "Team Survival" game, trying to play it with 5 computer players. The central player is way too strong to beat, as it creates new units quicker than I can wipe out. At the very beginning of the game I get the tip that it really helps to know where my enemy spawn points are. Am I supposed to remember the exact spots by heart, or is there a way to place labels on the map?

I couldn't figure a way to place labels when the units spawn, basically the idea of "no actions when it's not your turn." Problem is that the newly spawned units attack right away and so I can't wait for my turn to place the labels (yeah, my memory is whack  )

I tried to save the map, load it in the map editor to see if I could find anything. Had expected to see a special mark on the spawn hexes, but I found nothing.

Any suggestions?

I use 1.3.7 on Linux.

Hmm, 18 units in one round and no way to pause the game to place labels or write down coords. Have you tried that? :o

Check the WML in the config file for the scenario.

Or post up in the relevant topic for this scenario and the creator/maintainer may enlighten you.

No, not yet :) Even with this extra information, it's going to be a very difficult level. Anyway, it'll cost some time to beat it. Unfortunately there's only 24 hours to the day...

I'll post my experience once I play it in the modified setup.
