hey guys , quiet quiet here.

concerning our latest discussion about the mainline haldric I decided to give him ago and revamp his sprite. make him look more like 2018, not 2008.
I thought to ask if you guy want to get involved on either sharing opinions or even helping.
planning to share them to the mainline sprites thread so they can get committed.

I haven't done much but I think what I got is a solid start for a 2018 haldric. I only worked on the head because there was the main problem. I got good version for the youth and the fighter version. The default sprites lacks in 2 problems. One is the height, starting form lv1, he stays the same hight all the time. Right now he looks more like a dwarf, esp. on lv0. Second, his accessors added to lv2 and lv3 are ok-ish but I think they could be better too.
One thing I do like about the default sprites are the shoes/trousers. they can remain and get enlarged on higher lv ups.

My goal was it to make him look more like on the portrait.

here is a zip with everything you might need incase you want to edit him as well.
the .psd file is there too incase you work with photoshop CS5 or higher

Ah, I was going to make some sprites for Haldric, but looks like you're doing good work. Only comment right now is that the hair could be a little bit longer, but it's not really necessary. Have to see how the rest turns out after you do the armor. :roll:

lv 0 should depicts him in his youth were I suppose he had short hair, but thats just an assumption.

these all look great! :D I'd even go as far as saying the current lvl3 konrad should be replaced with your lvl4 (as long as the lower-level sprites are updated to match the color palette/style)

I think you should continue to make these sprites, you may want to make a new forum thread in art contributions for this...
But I'd really like to see a level 3 Haldric and Konrad...

I think that of haldric is going quite well! I do agree though that probably it is best to post it on another topic so it is more likely to be put in mainline!
