Map pack and guides?

Post by SFault »

I tried to search but I didn't find package nor instructions to make a story map. It seems that there are new style of maps available, but are there some guides to make one. I was planning to cut off elements (like trees and villages) from existing maps but if they are available that would save me a lot of trouble (and make the result much cleaner).

The process of creating a map is quite a bit too involved for people to be able to just make their own, so carefully editing the maps by hand is the main means of making alterations. If you really have to make a whole new map instead of adding/removing features to/from an existing map, then I might be able to help with that somewhat, but then I'd need to know the details.

Ok, I think I'll do it by hand. Are there at least the village, city etc. symbols ready in transparent format somewhere?

Maintainer of the Imperial Era and the campaigns Dreams of Urduk, Epic of Vaniyera, Up from Slavery, Fall of Silvium, Alfhelm the Wise and Gali's Contract.
But perhaps 'maintainer' is too strong a word.

Try my attachment, in the "/strat" folder you can find relevant resources.

It pronounces Sha'ha, not Zara.

This is the set I've used.

EDIT: Also note that the localization files contain undeformed (perspective, paper folds) versions of the maps, so you might find it slightly easier to edit the undeformed versions. You can then use the localization script to generate the final map.

Thank you all. I'm sure I can get started with these things.
